PDF can be costly<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Though PDF has become the standard for document transmission (B2B and B2C), it can be a costly format for translation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we explain in our blog post on best practice when requesting a quote, it is more efficient for you to send us a file in a native, editable format (such as Word, InDesign, PPTX, Excel, etc.), because PDF files have to undergo a page layout process before translation. As this is not a native format, and its contents cannot be edited, our graphics specialists have to prepare the file in full to avoid unstable page layouts (misplaced section breaks, column breaks, images etc.) in the translation. The same applies to non-editable images that cannot be modified with a click, which we prepare in Photoshop\u00a0to ensure the same level of quality as the original image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A native file is more efficient for you both financially and in terms of productivity \u2013 as soon as we receive the file, the translation project can begin without having to go through the page layout stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
